VIP

(Columbia action series, 1998-2002)

Glossy and silly-but-fun Pamela Anderson vehicle supposedly about a private detective agency.

Episode 1.16: ThunderVal:
Lots of bikinis and two British double deckers. The first is a Bristol VRTSL2/Eastern Coachworks, but we don't see sufficient of it to tell whether it has a roof.

The second is definitely open top - I'm open to offers as to identification, but it appears to be the same vehicle as seen in TV shows Firefly and Martial Law, and I believe it's former Trent 486 (HRC486D), a 1966 Daimler Fleetline/Alexander, which appeared in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, albeit in a different livery:

Episode 2.21: Lights, Camera, Val:
Has a daft spoof on 'Speed' involving a GM 'Buffalo' coach converted as an RV with a portrait of Jimi Hendrix on the side. The owner claims it used to belong to Hendrix until it's pointed out that it was built in 1985. Proof of this is a close-up of the plate in the roof giving the Vehicle Identification Number, owner, body type etc. This is the only time I've seen this degree of detail in a TV show! The last screencap shows fleet number 62.
