The Tweenies
(BBC children's series, 1999-2002
Tales of four preschoolers at playgroup, and the two adults who look after them there, Max and Judy.
Episode 2.02: Bus Ride:
Judy stands at a bus stop waiting to catch a bus. Arriva the Shires 2235 (V235HBH, a 1999 Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer 2) arrives on route 5 to the Rail Station, but when it stops, it's morphed into the same operator's 3229 (T829NMJ):
She lets it go, but then 2235 arrives again (I never said the show was great on continuity), this time on route 3 to the Town Centre:
Judy boards and places her shopping bag in the luggage bay and sits down.
There's extended footage of the journey into town (Whittlesford in Cambridgeshire):
There's also a demonstration of the 'kneeling' capability:
When Judy gets off the bus, she forgets her bag, and has to go to Arriva's Marchwood House to retrieve it:
Back at the playgroup, the Tweenies look at a storybook, which features not-very-realistic images of a bus:

Episode 2.25: Country Road:
In this episode Max takes two of the Tweenies on a trip on First Southern National 817 (S817KPR), a 1998 Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer 2 route branded for the Weymouth to Axminster service:
Episode 2.33: A Walk in the Town:
Max travels into town aboard a Wright-bodied Volvo B6LE of Sovereign Bus. Arriving behind it is one of nine DAF SB200s with Plaxton Prestige body supplied to Arriva Herts and Essex in 1997 for Green Line route 724:
Episode 3.04: Horses:
Judy takes a trip on Metrobus 339 (W339VGX), a Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer, showing service 246 to Bromley North:
Episode 4.32: High and Low:
Max travels to London, and boards M500 (GYE500W), a partial open top MCW Metrobus/MCW of Arriva's Original London Sightseeing Tour, new to London Transport. In the background can be seen a Frames Rickards coach:
Another continuity hiccup: this is the Original Sightseeing Tour's M245 (BYX245V), another ex-London Transport partial open top Metrobus/MCW, with another and a Routemaster in the background:
These however are a T-class Leyland Titan and an M-class Metrobus, and an amphibious DUKW:
Episode 6.35: Car Journey:
Jake is travelling by car with his mother; seen passing is a Sovereign Bus Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer 2:
Episode: Be Safe With the Tweenies 10: Road Safety:
One of a supplementary series on playing safely deals with crossing the road (there were 26 of these five minute episodes, enough to terrify anyone); a Sovereign Bus Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer 2 is seen approaching a zebra crossing.
