In Glasgow this Western Scottish Bristol Lodekka FLF draws up to take on passengers. Just visible in the distance is a Glasgow Leyland Atlantean:
On Skye, Alasdair boards a bus at Somerled Square in Portree. It's Highland Omnibuses CD71 (HGA984D), a 1966 Bedford VAS1 with Duple Midland body, which was new as David MacBrayne 211:
Here the mail compartment at the back is clearly seen; this was removed and the bus reseated when it was acquired for the Mountain Goat service in the Lake District:
