(US wartime propaganda film, 1943)

Frank Capra directed a suite of films between 1942 and 1945 under the 'Why We Fight' title, drawing together newsreel footage and staged drama. This segement depicts the Battle of Britain, often in quite graphic detail, from the initial German plans to ultimate failure to invade Britain.
There is an early partial view of a London Transport AEC STL going about its business on route 52:

….but more interesting is a staged sequence showing East Kent JG1418 being strafed by a German fighter on its way to Rye on the South Coast of Sussex. It's a 1931 Tilling-Stevens B49C2 with Brush body:
