It can't do that because of the convoy turning from St Aldates into the High - a Thames Travel Mercedes 811D/Carlyle, an Oxford Bus Leyland Tiger/Plaxton and an Oxford Bus MCW Metrorider in green City Nipper colours:

In the event the Metrorider holds back to allow the lead Olympian to turn; meanwhile the Mercedes is revealed as H102HDV, new to Red Admiral:

The Oxford Classic Tour's BFS49L was new to Edinburgh Transport, but was operated in Oxford by Tappins Coaches. It's followed by Oxford Bus 611 (RFC11T), a Leyland Leopard which began life with a Duple body on the Oxford London express service. It was rebodied with a Willowbrook Warrior bus body for less arduous work:
